I recently spent time at the Precision Camera workshop in Austin, Texas (photos below) — out of my San Antonio photo studio, out in the city, and fully in my element. There’s something about stepping outside your usual space that shakes things loose creatively. I was experimenting with new lighting setups, shooting cityscapes, and honestly just playing (I highly recommend play in your business whenever possible no matter what you do!). And that kind of play always comes home with me.

It got me thinking about growth. About how we evolve and how easy it is to not notice until you look back.
Have You Outgrown Your Professional Headshots?
When did you last update your headshots?
If you’ve leveled up in your career, stepped into a new role, launched something new, or simply grown into a more confident version of yourself — your images should reflect that. Because your headshot is often the very first impression someone gets of you. And first impressions? They matter. As a San Antonio headshot photographer, I see this all the time: accomplished professionals showing up online with photos that no longer tell their story.
A quick scroll through your LinkedIn or website profile will tell you everything you need to know. If you find yourself thinking “that doesn’t really look like me anymore” — it’s time.

What to Expect from my San Antonio Headshot Session
Here’s what I want you to know about working with me: a great headshot isn’t just a photo — it’s a first impression and energy that meets people before you do. And when we work together, you won’t just leave with images. You’ll also get education on how to actually use them — so your investment works harder for you.
We’ll talk about things like:
- What you want people to know about you just by seeing these photos
- Where and how to use your headshots across platforms
- What sizes and crops work best for LinkedIn, your website, and press kits
- Tips for keeping your images feeling current and relevant
You’ve invested in yourself by showing up for this session — let’s make sure those images actually do their job.
